DEBATE: Would you want to know?

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

Postby iluvk9 » December 1st, 2010, 10:30 am

Medical community, Scientists and Psychics 8) have found a way to determine the exact day of your death, YEARS from now. You aren't sick, they just figured out how to determine it. Do you want to know?

I would.

It doesn't mean I would live like I am dying, but I would make sure my bucketlist was as complete as possible.

I would, so I can have everything in order and make sure that there isn't any thing in my house that I don't want people to find.

Two weeks ago I was at an estate sale, and there were piles of porn magazines, videos and other "interesting" stuff all over the house. It was pretty funny, but at the same time though I have none of the above, there are still private things in my home.

Sure Michelle, sure....

;) kidding!

I thought this would be an easy answer for me but it's not. On one hand I would want to know so I can get everything in order, do as much as I can from my bucket list, etc. And I am nosy enough that knowing the information is there to be had would eat at me. Having said that, on the other hand, I'm really not sure I want to know. I think once I knew, life would be come less enjoyable like there was a sword hanging over my head.

Hmmmm, on one hand I think it would be wonderful ~ to have those moments, to say goodbye, to say I love you, to say what had to be said, and be at peace.

On the other hand, I agree somethings are just better off unknown.
I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure....

Nope, don't want to know. I would worry myself to much about it and forget to enjoy life. The good and the bad.

I fly by the seat of my pants through life...so no, I wouldn't want to know. I try and make sure everything is taken care of...right now I'm trying to figure out where all of my dogs will go as things have changed over the years. But no...I don't want to know.

I would worry about something different, like all my friends & family will be gone & I'll be stuck in a nursing home with no visitors. lol

I don't think I'd want to know. I'd rather live in the moment, not be worried about the variables of life.
