Has an obscenely swollen lymph node on the ride side. He's going in tomorrow at 9am to have it looked at.

I wasn't panicked until I called the vet and when I told them why he was being seen, the receptionist immediately said, "We'll work him in at 9am tomorrow." I reeeeealllllly appreciate them working me in before a fully scheduled day but now it's got me all kerfluffled.

Ugh... you're pretty much like all the rest of us... I also worry to the extreme, even if it turns out to be "nothing" afterwards. :hug3:

Keeping Joxer in my thoughts as well... and PLEASE update immediately after his vet visit, so I can start breathing again. :!: :!: :!:

His lymph node is the size of a large marble. Or I guess it could be tumor. Is that looking on the bright side?

OMG, speaking of worrying to the extreme:

So the day before Halloween Kisses had what looked like some sort of neurological or seizure activity. She had two more on Halloween. She bolted up from a dead sleep, scooby doo ran on the slippery floor for a full 4 seconds or so until she got traction then ran across the room. She was twitchy afterward and was biting at her back left leg. No nystagmus or diarrhea/vomiting and she was eating just fine but she was nervous and clingy all day. Of course I called and got her seen. Immediately I'm thinking a brain tumor to add to hertheheart murmur. Well it ends up she had impacted anal glands and was getting shooting pains in the ass while she was sleeping, the poor thing! I felt pretty dumb after that one. :wave2:

Sorry, but I had to laugh at your Kisses story. Here's to having a similar story to laugh about with Joxer!

We had a 3 year old golden retriever come in with a HUGE swollen lymphnode in her neck, all of us were of course thinking the worst... we sent a few aspirates in and it came back as a simple infection.

I agree with the above, let's hope Joxer has something easy going on.

Thanks guys. The Kisses thing was horrible and wonderful at the same time. I was terribly embarrassed but I'll take full anal glands over neurological problems any day!

Luckily, going to the vet is the BEST THING IN THE WORLD to Joxer. He seriously loves everything about the the vet.

Good luck today! :)

A friend's Pit Bull had one swollen lymph node and it was an infection from the inner ear. Antibotics cleared it right up.

Just got back from the vet. It's definitely a lymph node. Joxer didn't have any other swollen lymph nodes so that's good. We aspirated it and should have the histo results back on Tuesday.
