Can you put the calendar cover and a small write up that it benefits operation hug a hero on facebook? When I try to link this thread, it gives the pit bull talk index page statement instead of the calendar info. I have a lot of members from the army unit that I talk to through facebook that would probably be interested in supporting the cause. A post just like the one posted on the fan page on Nov 24, 2009 for the 2010 calendar would be great so I can just click share and everyone will know what it benefits. Well done- the calendars look great!!

I shared the post from Nov 4th this year that said the calendars are ready, but this is how the post came out:
Kim Barlet via Pit Bulls and Pretty Girls: Those of you that support our troops, please share!!!!

This is what the post I shared said:
"Pit Bulls and Pretty Girls Calendars will be available starting this weekend (Sunday evening.) They are available through CafePress - http://www.cafepress.com/rubypress/6167021

They are $25 each, with 100% of the proceeds going to Operation-Hug-a-Hero. It takes about 5 calendars to sponsor a doll for a child of a deployed service member or fallen... hero.

That is why I think an updated version of the post from Nov 24, 2009 would be good so it shows the calendar cover and a description of what it benefits when you click share and people would know what it is about without having to read additional comments or going to the fan page to figure it out. I am sure people will assume the proceeds go to the dogs if I share it as it shows up now and I am sure more of my army friends would crosspost if they know that the calendar helps military kids. I know that comes out sounding wrong, but what I mean is I know soldiers see how kids react during pre/post deployment and it tugs at the heart strings of soldiers with or without kids when you see it first hand (it always got to me seeing the kids/spouses come running up to their loved ones when we returned from a deployment, eventhough I was single without kids....it was a happy moment to witness) and they are more likely to crosspost if they know that it benefits operation hug a hero. Just the word operation usually gets a soldiers attention.

I don't think it sounds wrong at all. There are people who didn't want to be involved because it was for military, but had to been for dogs they would have been all over it. I appreciate the input.

Thanks, Michelle. I believe it!! I am both an Army veteran and a Pit Bull lover and I have friends that bash the military (some are even former soldiers) and some that bash Pit Bulls. Guess that is the beauty of freedom of speech. I don't have to agree with things people say and I try to remember even when the most ignorant or offensive comments come out of their mouth, I PROUDLY served my country so that they would have the right to continue to voice their opinion. I do, however get a lot of positive comments on my Ino pics- seems no matter what a person's bias is, people can't seem to hate a cute dog  !! It is pretty much his facebook page anyway :D - way more pics of him than me!!

My sister showed my *almost* 3 year old nephew my photo today, via Facebook. His response..."Ernin (his name for me) is on the bus with her shoes" lol

Nice work. Looks awesome. I love the whole retro thing. I want wing tip heals.
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day, tomorrow doesn't look good either.
