Regarding Resource Guarding. ;)

Post your pics and vids here.

This is what happens when you work hard on a POSITIVE protocol with resource guarding issues. Your dog, too, can be like Luke and start loving you around food so much that he brings his bowl TO you after he's done eating, in hopes that you'll give him MORE.

SO PROUD!!!! SQUEEE! Yeah, I know, so carrying around his food bowl may be viewed as a "brat" behavior, but I'm just sooooo THRILLED that he wants us anywhere near food around him.

Just to update (because I don't know if I told anyone here) Luke had slight resource guarding issues. He did a low growl whenever I gave him a frozen kong or marrow bone in his crate. At first, I wasn't sure if he was growling at me or Ophie (I KNEW he had food issues around Ophie) because their crates were close together, and he seemed to get excited during feeding time. So, I assumed he was growling at Ophie or because of her being right there. But I found he was not.

We worked on it immediately by calling our trainer to come over and work with us on it. She gave us a push start to working on a protocol until my Mine! A Practical Guide to Resource Guarding book arrived.

That's fantastic! I know you worked really hard with him. You should be proud. :)
