Rescue of the Miners in Chile

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

My gut twists thinking of what they have been through, let alone of what is ahead of them.....I am claustrophobic, and can't even imagine getting hauled up 2 miles in a skinny tube.....

Let's say a prayer for these guys, and hope they make it out safely and back to their families.

Pretty amazing rescue effort, for sure. They just pulled the first guy out.....

The will to live is an amazing thing. They will all have some serious psychological issues for the rest of their lives as a result of this though. It will be interesting to see what happens to them individually and collectively as they try to assimilate. Miners as a general rule are tough SOB's, though there's no way in hell a normal person would ever go back into a mine, get in an elevator, or even go into a basement again.
