I love how the cat is like, "WTF???" at first, and then times a few of his paw smacks with the click! Kitty can be taught, too!

And you know I love my Wiener... :heartbeat:

That was great! You seem to be rewarding his looking at/going over to the kitty (or was it the bed you were targeting)? What are you teaching?

Can someone direct me to a site/book to where to start learning more about clicker training? I have a clicker and Ruby has mastered 'touch' my hand wherever I move it...but I'm stuck on progressing to other things...

The ClickerSolutions website and Yahoo group are a godsend. Bookwise, Click for Joy is good - if I recall correctly it walks you through step by step. Honestly though, for me the best thing has to just been to jump in and use it. Start using it as a reward for things she already knows - that'll help cement the "click is good" thought in her head. Sloooowly start withholding the click when Ruby is targeting your hand and you can teach her to touch your hand and then keep her nose on it, following it. Teach her to stand on a stool. Just have fun and play with it.

We were just playing around last night...hadn't done any shaping lately.

He was just doing some general targeting to the bed...and since the kitten was willing to be a distraction, we went with it... lol
