I'm a lucky girl.

And a little tidbit of Harlow just floating on a floatie with me in the 'pool'. (I made it black and white because we are out of pool shock and it's looking a little pond-like...)

It has taken a lot of effort, and a lot of coaxing. The floatie is the only thing that helps. She loves it though--as long as we stay close. She will lay down and flatten her ears and ends up closing her eyes... I'm like "I wasn't kidding all this time about the water being good, Harlow!" Degan is another story. He sort of... flails around. haha.

The dogs are finally learning that water=coolness=being outside longer than the time it takes to potty.
After Degan's little heat episode he seems to be a lot more accepting of the pool, since we had him laid out in a kiddie pool to cool him off.
Neither have gotten in voluntarily, yet. Degan will stand up with his front paws on the side...he just won't get in. We can tell he is really curious, and wants to...but is nervous, so we don't force it.
I just wish we had a lake around here that allowed dogs. Our only lake within 30 miles has a no-pet policy. =/ My mom lives on a very small lake, but it is concrete-walled so you step right in to three feet of water, which defeats the purpose.
