Oh, the irony

This is where to talk about Pit Bulls!

In the last 12 hours, Robin has managed to kill 2... ahem...robins in our backyard. :(

What a stinker. :rolleyes2:

LOL so does that mean you can claim her as a retriever on your insurance instead? I bet you could get lower premiums :p

Either robins are really stupid birds, or your Robin has some seriously mad bird getting skillz :p

She's doing better than my actual retrievers this week!

They looked like fledglings and they were hanging out in a big brush pile. Robin and River (my black lab) kinda work as a team to get them out of there. Robin, however sealed the deal. She also got a blue jay earlier this spring, and the dynamic duo had a possum cornered 2 nights ago until it started playing dead; then they really didn't know what to do with it. It stopped playing with them, the nerve! lol

Yeah, that made me laugh.

What I want to know is if she ate it?
Both my bulldog boys kill stuff and swallow it whole. Even adult rabbits.

She didn't eat any of these birds; I'm able to get her to drop them surprisingly easily-- especially considering I have to keep one eye out for attacking mama birds.

And apparently robins are stupid birds. I've told this story to 2 people who both said, "Yeah. Robins just sit there on the ground."

I'm not really sure how exactly that one squeaked past evolution... 8)

:lol3:

Fiona, my Boston Terrier, is a Robin serial killer. It happens so fast there's no way to stop her. At least she makes it quick... eek.

Mia likes to play with the birds. She gets ahold of them, and likes to toss them around in her mouth. Then she opens her mouth and they fly out. So far she hasn't killed any(thank goodness!!)
