Harley is now refusing to eat most foods. When
he eats, most
of the time it stays down. Every week I will find some partially digested food on the floor.
He is going in tomorrow to get weighed and so I can discuss it all with Vet. I did have a phone conversation with him, on Monday, and he wanted him to EAT or he would have to figure out what else could be the problem. I was instructed to make chicken breast and hamburger meat. I was to try each one (separately) on top of his dry food. Oh, and I have tried EVERY BRAND of dry and canned. From Nature's Variety, to Science Diet, to grain-free, to Natural Balance LID...you name it, I bought it.
Harley picks out the dry (even when moistened) and spits it on the floor, then eats the meat I added. Canned, he will eat once and then not want it again.
I am really beside myself now.
I try to give him lots of small meals a day. I know just chicken or hamburger isn't a balanced meal. He gets Reglan in the morning and pepcid 2 times a day.
Throw some ideas at me.
