Hey Where's My Tooth?

Post your pics and vids here.

Well here is the aftermath of knucklehead aka Kayden slamming head first into Earl while they both went for a ball.

Smiling Lab with blood dripping from his mouth waiting for me to throw the ball again

Upon inspection of his mouth it appears Earl is now missing a front tooth (thank god it wasn't his canine)

When I was cleaning him up I found a nice puncture wound on the top of his head and also a split lip. Kayden seems quite content with his dental work

Ha, so so true Joyce. I'm not sure if he is tough as nails or just plain dumb as a rock...

As long as the ball wasn't injured, I'm sure Earl will be fine!

Oh, I don't know.. remember the pictures of Riggs from Lollipop farm? Ruby blew his eye wide open smashing into him, he couldn't have cared less, as long has he had his ball.

lol

Glad they're still friends!!!

Ouch. They're just clueless. Jessie ran between me and a door, and knocked her face hard a couple years ago and her top canine tooth turned pink, then gray, and is now dead. She didn't even wimper, and played ball afterwards.

Are you sure the whole tooth fell out though? Cause bits of root in the gums and exposed pulp = more ouch and infection.

No, the whole tooth isn't out. It looks like there is about 1 or 2 tiny fragments still left in there. I'm going to get him into the vet tomorrow to see if they need to remove the rest of the tooth and get him on some antibiotics.

That split in his lip also seems to have gotten a bit bigger so we'll see if he needs a stitch in there.

Oh, tooth bits, that's got to feel awesome...

Hard to believe how they just keep on trucking with something that would make us curl up in a ball and cry (well, some of us at least).

I was gonna ask that as well. That happened to my mom's dog and she had to get the rest surgically removed. I hope it's an easy fix for Earl! (no surgery!!!)

The Pearl saw the vet and they are going to extract the rest of the tooth on Monday and also suture his lip up

Sometimes I think having kids would be cheaper...
