Thanks, I am going to try and find something to do today so I will quit worrying. Thanks everyone for sending thoughts. Please keep them coming. Especially for my mom. Her emotions have got the best of her and all she can do it cry when someone talks to her. Josh called her last night and she broke down. Broke his heart. :(

Sorry I was cooking dinner and giving Travis a fashion show of what I bought today. Had to stay busy doing something. :D

Thank you so much for everyone's thoughts and prayers. It means so much to me and my family.

Update:

EKG: normal, BP: 122/81 (damn nearly perfect,) Lung sounds: clear :D

Symptoms, still the same, tightness in chest and pain. Hurts more with exertion.

He is going in morning for stress test with contrast to see if any blockages.

Will be prone to blockages because of the arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries). It is just part of the type of heart disease he has. And yes this man has always been a pillar of health. Eats healthy, no smoking, exercises regulary, stress free. Makes you wonder.

So tomorrow they will also order another test CTA to check for clots in the lungs.

That is all for now. Please keep sending good thoughts.

I guess this is good news. The stress test didn't put him in the hospital but the results are being sent to his doctor. They said if a blockage showed up they would have sent him fromt he test directly to the hospital. Since they sent him home, I guess that is good news.
Still don't know what it is. Have to wait on results from stress test to order the next test in order for insurance to pay for it. Have to rule out one thing to move onto next.

Thanks for so many thoughts coming his way.

Still has symptoms but at least they haven't given up looking for the cause.

Missy, do they seem to be angina symptoms??? If they do is he on a beta blocker, and does he have nitro at home- does it help?

I gave them some nitro when they left. Daddy won't take it, scared to complicate things :rolleyes2: I told him to try some Ibprofen to see if it was some kind of costachondritis. Yes listen to me talking like a nurse but it is the only thing I have found that could be close. His sternum was always so sore after the open heart surgery. In his lung x rays you can see all the staples and wires holding it together. This was 5 years ago so it has had time to generate all new growth around those wires.

I believe the only thing he is on is the plavix? Haven't gotten into my drug course yet but I do know that is his blood thinner.

For my dad to say anything or even accept going to the doctor he must be feeling something strange. He is stubborn.

Regarding angina symptoms. He just says chest pains and tightness. I don't know if I asked him if he would really know the difference if I tried to expain angina. You know what I mean??

Yes dad's are stubborn!! Yeah, angina presents itself in so many ways though. Good thoughts for him! Hopefully the stress tests shows nothing or something minor!
