I found 2 Pit Bulls at work

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

Postby iluvk9 » June 26th, 2010, 6:48 am

Friday we had half a day, staff only, and a luncheon. I spent my 3 hours outside with two ADORABLE Pit Bulls. :)

I saw them as I came to work on a very busy street. I have leashes, collars and water in my SUV for lost dogs. 8) As I opened my door, "Charlie Brown" (yes, I named him) jumped into my front seat! "Sally" was nearby, but a bit nervous. A guy stopped to help me get her into my SUV.

I drove them to work, (and ironically, it was Take Your Dog To Work Day) and everyone thought they were mine. I kept them outside because I didn't know them. People brought us water.

I called the town shelter for a pickup, because the few houses I went to, did not recognize them.

I was SO happy they were neutered/spayed and were SO SWEET. :loveU:

Today I will go to the town shelter to see if their owner showed up.

Ironically out of 50 people at work, only ONE knew that if you lost a dog, the TOWN SHELTER would be a good place to call! :sad2:

8) No, I think 3 dogs, one Labrador/pony and a cat are enough for me.

But I will put signs up in the area I found them if they aren't claimed yet.

Yes, but I will have to send them to Missy, who can email them to me, because I can't figure out my new phone. :D

GOOD NEWS UPDATE! The owners were literally in the parking lot when the truck pulled in! Sally and Charlie Brown did not have to sleep at the shelter. :)

Thank you, Missy. :wave2:

Charlie Brown was one of those "roll-over, rub my belly, let me smoother you with kisses, can I get any closer to you?" kind of Pit Bulls.

Sally was more reserved but had adorable ears. 8) Reminded me of a French Bulldog.

They're cute! Yay for you for rescuing them! And yay for their owners actually looking for them!

Thanks ~ I figured if I saw them squished on the road, later, I would have puked.
