How Did He Survive I-80?

If it's a non-human, non-Pit Bull, family member, post it here!

LOOK what Kelcie and Justin found on Interstate 80!!! Trying to make it's way out onto the Highway
*the speed limit is 75 mph, which means most cars and trucks are doing 80*
, a HUGE semi sped by just as kitten started to step out onto the road. Suddenly the gust hurled little one over into the ditch.!!! :o
Kelcie and Justin quickly came to a stop, ran to the side of the road, afraid for the worst  , but all it had was a bloody mouth.
Kelcie called me to help her figure out what to do with him. (this was her first rescue!)
I CAN'T HELP but think someone tossed the kitten out, by the way the teeth look...like it's face had hit the pavement...
There was no houses close by...*there aren't a whole lot along that area anyway....

So, WITHOUT FURTHER ADO.......

THIS LOOK on Dar's FACE, remained as such for the first 4 hours he was here:
Image
The look on kitten's face seems to be revealing as well.

Warming-up, perhaps???

BUT THEN::: LITTLE CAT SEIZES THE TOYS....DANGEROUS TERRITORY
Image

AND THIS?? ya just Gotta WONDER if he's not kinda Askin' for It!!!

INTRODUCING;;; Rupert Jones!!

Awwwww....kitteh cuteness! That's how I found my little Sixlet, I saw someone toss her out a car window. If I didn't know for a fact that the hubs would toss me out on my back side I'd say send him to me.

How lucky for him that such wonderful people found him. :groupHug:

I'm soaking the dry food with some water.....he seems to be eating fine.

I have noticed he leaves his mouth 'open' quite a bit. I wonder if it hurts... :(

wow...

We were initially going to take him when his mouth was all bloody, but once he drank some water, slept and ate, It seemed like he was okay.
I just kinda figured if he could bite the Heck outta my fingers and crunch a piece of dog food he found on the floor, that his jaw was okay. :|
But if you guys think he needs to go, then he'll go!

When you say 'first post' do you mean the first picture/?

I was thinking the same thing... in a couple of pics he looks like he's "panting" - very unusual for a cat to do that.
But he's CUTE!!! :D

I'm also noticing that from across the room, his mouth looks open, but when I get closer, I notice it's the 'scruffed' place on his lip that was also bleeding and was scabbed over for a couple of days. Poor Little guy....
He's settled in really nicely.....

Very very cute! I would get him to a vet though. If it is hurt or broken, you don't want it to heal wrong.
Unfortunatly it is not un common for idiots to toss unwanted pets out the window of a moving vehicle. My grandfather found three kitten on a high way in Conneticut (a fourth kitten or cat had already been killed) We gave them to one of my mom's friends who is a big cat lover, and they lived there, spoiled rotten out of their minds, for 14 years, until they passed away from old age.
Kathleen (and George)
Petie Marie - spoiled rotten Pit Bull Terrier
Sunshine Honeysuckle Smith - DSH cat that lives under the couch
Sasha Marie - Bombay Mix = DIVA
