Did you find out if you can embroider names yet?
I may not *need* a dumbo embroidered on a bag for Ella.

I'm gonna spend today playing with my new machines...so I should know more about how good or bad I'm going to be in the next day or so. For those that sew I got a Baby Lock Ellure....it does everything but make the coffee I think.

Does it allow you to program embroidery designs in it???

Um sort of...it has some presets and you can save...I can get cards..I couldn't afford the one that allowed computer design with USB hookup...but it seems to be easy enough for basic embroidery.....as long as I'm smart enough to figure out the novel of an owners manual.

I am confident I can embroider Ella on a bag...I am going to go to the sewing center to see if they have an elephant digitized (I'm not there yet)...If you want a bag, send me what fabrics you want...size...etc. and we'll see what we can make happen.

Do you take orders for custom fabrics?
Like, if I were to find a fabric online that I liked, and bought the fabric, would you be willing to use that fabric?

I have a couple fabric sites I've found that I really like some of the cutesy, old fashioned fabrics.
How much fabric do you need for a...what is your standard tote size?
One that would be big enough for a blanket, but it does NOT need to be gigantic (not even diaper bag size)?

And what fonts does your machine have programmed already?

See?? I'm a TOTAL pain in the butt! :lol3:

Okay lets see...sure I could use a custom fabric, no problem. Depending on the fabric width it takes just under 2 yards if you have the front and handles and outside pocket from the same fabric..if you have the lining different fabric and a front bottom saddle...that's about 1 1/4 yards. Standard size is just about 16" so big enough for a small blanket..but not huge. I can make them a bit smaller but doesn't sound like you want smaller.

As for fonts....I'll figure out how to figure that out tomorrow...K

Your Scooter coat would be perfect for Valentino in the winter. Poor boy has so little fur, to survive in the arctic WNY winter!

Too bad I have no idea how big he's going to be come the snowfall! :rolleyes2:

Two new bags:

This one reminds me of my Grandmother's kitchen..note thanks to an observation from Jenn (LMM) the bags now have an exterior slide or d-ring for those of you that carry your keys on a carabiner...gives you a place to clip them.

This bag is rich, the pictures really don't do it justice:

I have been meaning to email you!
I made need to order another bag for Luke from you. But that can be simpler and won't require a special design. I'd still want his name embroidered on it, though. :D
And, yes, I still want a bag from you!

In fact, I cannot wait to see what you come up with!
And I LOVE that you add a slide or D-Ring (Can mine be a D-ring, please?)!
I carry so much stuff on me.

And these bags will be used for when we go to training. Luke is proving to be quite the toy lover. :D

You really do GORGEOUS work! My Mom was a seamstress her entire life and used her talent to make extra money for the family, eventually owning a bridal shop and specializing in handmade headpieces. Are you thinking of expanding into a full blown career? You certainly have the talent.

I've always sewn..first out of necessity then for fun. I might do more when I retire..but right now I struggle to find the time to keep up..just ask chewbecca!! She's been waiting very patiently for her bag.

Thanks Joyce, I appreciate the compliment.

When I get a few extra moments, I have a dog pack pattern I'm going to try.

Ophie and her new bag!
Thank you, Diana!!!
We're extremely happy with it.
I posted on your facebook as well, but after I posted it on your wall, I couldn't find it

She's getting spayed on Monday and this bag will be carrying a couple of our worn tshirts so that she has something familiar to smell when she wakes up.

Thanks again!
