Oscar and I went for our hike at a park nearby, I'd hazard a guess many of the trees are old growth and HUGE firs, its a former military college, now Royal Roads University, its grounds are huge.

Oy, Oscar is HANDSOME! That area is so beautiful! Is that sap dripping from the tree?

aw thanks :) I think so too, but of course I'm biased...

Yep, well, actually, I *think* it is resin, which is kind of my namesake, Amber is my first name and I was named after the stuff, though tecnically it's ancient hardened tree resin... I ramble :rolleyes2:

BEAUTIFUL PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!! :o

That Sweet, Irridescent Yellow Flower is so pretty...I have it scattered throughout my flower beds...(it can be pretty invasive, given enough time))

I just went and googled it, and wow.

18 years ago, a fellow gardener brought him a hunk of this plant and told me what it was. I looked at a picture in a book and the blooms were so similar, I didn't even question Herb.
