Has anyone seen anything like this?

My mom watched Cooper for me last night because I was out of town and I noticed today when I brought him home that he has these red spots on his stomach and one on his arm. He was running around the yard at my sister's house with her dog so I don't know if it is something from her yard or just got a little beat up. I've never seen anything like it before. He's gotten staph infections before, but they didn't look like this. Any idea what this could be?

That was one of the many allergy symptoms Trouble had. If you live in SE TX, they look like ant bites - red spots with white pussy head. Trouble licked at them relentlessly.

Vinny had spots like those one time. His was a staph infection.

Agreed on the staph... could've started out as bug bites, and got infected. Time for some antibiotics... :wink:

You might be able to wash them very well and dry them, put some neosporin on them for a day or two and see if they clear up. That has worked for us in the past. I also have this sulpher stuff that did wonders for Connor's last skin thing, it stinks to high heaven, but it works!

That looks like Sirius' skin did when he had a staph infection.

Thanks! I'll try the neosporin and see if that helps. Otherwise I'll get him in to the vet. I think we have a schedule now...1 staph infection in the spring and 1 in the fall.
