A load off my shoulders

Food, Fitness and how to keep them healthy.

I took Shelby (well, and my old lady kitty) in for checkups today. Shelby's stupid skin infection still never fully went away, so we are trying a new drug. :rolleyes2:

But anyways, while we were in there I asked for some hip films, we had such a rough time with Sophie and her gawdawful hips that I have been really nervous about Shelby having the same problems, back yard bred mutt that she is. Dr. Katie wanted to wait until she was two (understandable), and she turned two in November, so I asked to have hip films done while we were there. Silly pup wouldn't hold still so I ended up leaving her to be sedated, but..... SHE HAS GORGEOUS HIPS!!! Nice deep and smooth acetabulums, thin femoral necks, smoooooooth-as-a-baby's-butt femoral heads...... Okay, maybe I made the baby's butt part up, but you get the picture. She is having them evaluated by the veterinary radiologist tomorrow as a favor to me, but she says they are good.

I hadn't realized how worried I was, I almost cried when I saw those films go up, they are SO PRETTY!!

Oh, and she threw in knee films for me, too. They rock also.
