We use baby gates. Jazzy can be in the TV room behind a baby gate while the others are in the living room & dining room.
Crate & rotate isn't as bad as it seems once it becomes a routine.
Unless you're an idiot like me...I keep forgetting which dogs can go out together...and I have to scoop Fig up at the last minute.
I couldn't handle dogs that would fight...because I'm absent-minded...I'm really, really good for a while, then start forgetting.
