Bugsy

Postby maberi » April 12th, 2010, 10:17 am

Bugsy is a 2-3 year old mix at the Genesee County Animal Shelter where I volunteer. Bugsy has a cataracts problem with her eyes so she cannot see, but she actually gets around at the shelter very well. She has learned exactly where her kennel is and has learned where the doorways are to go out for walks. She is extremely social with humans and loves going for walks and runs (I indeed look a little odd sprinting around a parking lot with a blind dog).

I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day, tomorrow doesn't look good either.

I love the idea of having a video of a dog for adoption. Bugsy certainly is comical. :giggle:

The videos have been a big help for adopting out dogs that have had trouble convincing the general public walking through the shelter to adopt them. They had a video of Kayden when he was there and that is the only reason I went out to see him.

What a sweet heart. The video is an awesome idea, it is hard to tell a dog's personality from walking by it in a cage. I hope it works.
