I send an info sheet to my clients...even pet-sitting clients. One of the multiple choice questions for pet-sitting clients is :does your dog know any of these commands: sit, down, stay, come.
They check yes or no...this just helps me when I come over, so I don't waste my breath if they don't really know anything.
She checked off "no" for "Down and added..."She still jumps".
*sigh*
I meant...does your dog lie down on command/cue. To me, down is lying down, to the most of the world I talk to, it seems that "DOWN" is to get the dog off of something (person, couch, etc)...which is why I have so much trouble getting their dogs to listen when I'm saying off. Personal pet peeve of mine...
