The Sopha Dopha Doo is back home. I was afraid I would have to carry her to and from the car and then up the stairs, but I finally convinced her to walk! She went straight into her crate and laid down, and she NEVER willingly goes into her crate without me tossing treats in first! I am not worried about checking on her as I can hear her snoring upstairs. :giggle:

She had a bath, got spayed, and had her inguinal hernia fixed. She has hookworms still so I have to give her a Drontal tonight and another in 14 days. Not sure how I'm going to manage tonight's pill as it is GIGANTIC and she's not hungry. Hopefully if I smear it with peanut butter she'll take it. She goes back in 10 days to get her stitches removed. She got her rabies shot so she is now legal. I also got her 2 months worth of heartworm preventative to be on the safe side since the weather was warming up so quickly (though it's snowing now).

Grand total for everything? $309. Very reasonable I'd say!

You might want to hold off on the Drontal until tomorrow. If she's nauseous from the anesthesia, she may ralph the pill and food right up, then she'll need another.

Yeah, she wouldn't even touch the peanut butter so I'll just save it for the morning.

If she's not hungry tomorrow (which I doubt)... Just shove your hand down her slimy throat. It gets the pill in every time, no spitting out.

I crushed it up and mixed it with peanut butter and she ate it this morning, as well as a small amount of breakfast. She's still pretty sleeping but she went out to pee and poop. She then went straight back into her crate like, "go away now, I want to sleep!"

Thanks again for all the good wishes everybody. :)
