excellent!

Oscar can't do that one - no balance and, as we found out later, hip dysplasia(probably WHY he can't balance!) But, we do other things  Faust is doing great! :) Good job

Christine I never get tired of seeing pictures of your dogs.

They seem like my dogs' equal counterparts. Sepp is like Degan, the 'mature', 'regal', grumpy-faced one who if he could, would always be rolling his eyes and Faust who is like Harlow--constantly trying to play inappropriately, or getting into things he shouldn't be... always with a smile of course!

Excellent! I'm working on "high 10" with Ruby (without clicker training - until I learn more about it) -- and she keeps standing up on her hind legs (vs haunches) and punching me in the face! LOL

Christine, was this a shaping exercise? What behavior did you start rewarding for to get him to this position? I'd like to teach Shelby to do that ("sit pretty"), but I always just assumed she was too top heavy for it. Maybe not!

He looks SOOOOO happy in these pictures, I wub him!

Faust is a jumper, and he likes to paw at me a lot... we started out w/a sit, progressed to a shake, and then started targeting my hand w/one paw for a high five while sitting. From there we did targeting my hand w/both paws while sitting... now we gotta work on balance and duration. lol
The great thing about Faust is that he LOVES to learn new things and is very, very enthusiastic as well as very food/clicker motivated.
He has started offering tons of behaviors in order to get a click/treat and we are having so much fun w/"training". :D
