I'm so happy they are in their foster homes now! I woke up this morning thinking about those two and was going to ask when today they would be picked up.

A final update on this story....

I emailed Janelle from the rescue that helped Barron (formerly Jake) and Lemon girl to get an update on how they are doing now. Neither Grace nor I had heard anything since the dogs went into foster care. Janelle informed me that Barron was successfully treated for the heartworms and that THE TWO OF THEM HAVE BEEN ADOPTED BY ONE FAMILY IN MISSOURI!!!! They are together in their forever home!

That is great that they went together. Our shelter would often have two cats or two dogs that would "prefer" to stay together, and more often than not, some nice family would take the pair.
