Hi my name is Rachel. I've been lurking on ya'lls site for a few weeks and decided I should go ahead and join. I'm from Alabama, so the RTR in my name stands for Roll Tide Roll. I've been in the Army for 6 years so I've been stationed in Korea for 2 years and been deployed to Iraq so I wasnt able to have a dog for a while. When I returned from Iraq January last yearI knew that was the last time the Army would send me overseas, since my date to get out the Army is February 25, 2010. (Next week!!! yay!!) So I began looking for a APBT. I have lived with dogs my entire life prior to joining the service when I was 20, but only one pit bull, which belonged to one of my roommates. I fell in love with the dog and the breed in general. It was one of the smartest and loving dogs I had ever been around. So anyways last April I adopted Karma. I got her from a woman on Craigslist who had the post titled something along the lines of " Will be taken to shelter in 3 days" When I first got her she was very skinny and skittish but now she has taken on a great personality and never gives me any problems whatsoever. She is now 2 years old. She gets along great with other dogs (Right now my new roommates have a pug, chiuaua, and toy pomeranian) I'm excited about taking her back to Alabama with me next week where she has lots of room to run around. Here are some pics. They are real old though, around the time I first got her. I need to take some new ones.
Hello and Welcome When you move back to Alabama we will be neighbors. Love Karma. I huge thanks to you for serving our country. My family appriciates you.
She's just a doll....and hats off to you too, Rachel!!

It snowed here in TX today. It was the first time Karma has seen it and she LOVED it . She couldn't seem to understand what it was so she ran aound sniffing and pawing the ground.
I was also wondering if someone could help me with being able to post. This is the only thread I can reply to.
