This is a confusing story. Did the police determine the dog's injuries were too severe?

AUBURN, N.H. -- Police in Auburn said they had to put down a pit bull dog that was found tied to a tree and shot several times.

A person walking their dog came upon the pit bull Thursday afternoon in woods off the Route 28 bypass and called police.

When police arrived, the dog was still alive, but its injuries were determined to be too severe, so the dog was euthanized.

The dog was described as a tan and white neutered male, about 3 to 5 years old. The dog's ears were not cropped.

Police said they believe the dog was left either Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Anyone with information on the case was asked to call Auburn police at 603-483-2922.

OMG, wtf is wrong with people. :nono: That poor dog had to suffer gunshot wounds while tied to a tree for who knows how long. I would stand in line to do the same to whomever did that to him. :mad2:

RIP......

It sounds like it. They may not have been able to get near him either.
