I don't know. I've been on a dog rescue board for a few years now, and we always recommend people try again if they don't get anything the first time and the behavior persists. Many times, they have come back positive the second try. Just know it happens, not sure why... :|

Yup, our Sophie would wake up to HUGE puddles when it happened when she was sleeping. The poor thing, she would always be so confused and then look all hangdog when we were cleaning up after her. Once she was diagnosed, though, the Proin was like magic. Never a problem again! Though we did have to up her dosage any time she was on steroids.

Inara is at the vet being boarded this week and they checked her out and she did have an infection. So she is now on antibiotics. Thanks everybody, you guys are so smart!

So she finished her meds and they re-tested her pee and everything was all good. But I swear to god she's asking to go outside once an hour now! And when I take her out (I do try to take her out whenever she asks) she does pee a decent amount so she's not faking. Why is she peeing so much more now that her infection is gone?

Is she eating a lot of snow? Mac and Shorty do and I have to let them out far more often in the winter.

Nope, she doesn't eat snow - she just sneezes into it. :giggle:

I'm not overly concerned since her urine was just tested Monday and it was fine. It's just somewhat annoying!

I would have her tested one more time to make sure the urinary infection is totally gone.... I do know excessive urination can be from a UTI.....
