I just wanted a little feed back from others and see what other people are using or if they have any suggestions for me on food and supplements. Judo is 11 months old has a sensitive tummy to anything grainy or garbage treats raw hide ect. He is a puker and even does it when he gets up set emotionally haha. Its just a Judo thing . I am sure he is gonna be my allergy dog since by 5 months old I started noticing his itching and skin irritations besides his pigment is very light. When he was a baby he was pulled before he should have been weened so I ordered some good mamas milk supplements and he could handle wellness puppy food ok. Then I had him on Merrick Before Grain Buffalo and he always had the BG canned if I didnt cook him fresh meats along with his dry, My company closed and I was laid off so I had a huge pay cut and also the drive to where I get his food was 45 mins away. So I switched to Taste of the Wild Bison/venison (sold close by). He still eats the same fresh meats and canned green tripe or almost 100% meats canned along with it. Its not the best choice of dry but its the best for the price right now on my crap budget. I also started supplementing with a mix of msm, brewers yeast, probios and fish oils. (all are measured out and calculated to his size and what he receives in his food). Since then his yeasty ears almost stopped and his fur and eyes are sparkling LOL. I use Paul Mitchell Dog tea tree shampoo and refresher spay and that has helped with his itchy skin, More so now since of it being so dry.
So I am open for new suggestions if anyone has any. My last vet killed my dog long story short. Then I gave another local vet a chance and she messed up big time. So the one I plan on starting to use, a close friend uses for her Pitties and she is the head of internal medicine for our areas vet specialist/ER so I am gonna give him a shot. I am pulled more towards the holistic approach for dealing with allergies and I think this vet supports that. So for his 1 year check up I am going to address his allergy issues.
I am normally really good with this stuff but with my own animals I always 2nd guess myself. More so since losing my dog over treatable illnesses and defects....I lost my confidence. So hit me up with some ideas if you could.
Thanks guys!!
