Hi Everyone!

I am a new member from Massachusetts. My dog's name is Dexter and he is a rescue that was used as a bait dog. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and really brightened up my life. I look forward to chatting with you folks and happy to be a new member!

Welcome to PBT!!!!!!!!!!! :wave2:

Dexter is so lucky that you've given him a good home!!
HOw long have you had him??

WE LOVE PICTURES...... :P so Please, Post a few as soon as you can. We can Drool over them until the administration comes along and gives you access to the rest of the forum!!

Feel free to tell us more about you and Dexter, here in the intro section, and if you have questions, you can post them in the appropriate area later!!!

PS.
oH. We will ask you to legally change your name to something less common. LIke perhaps..Matilda or Petunia. Seems Jenn/Jen is a very common name, and well, since you're the new girl, you can make an appt. with your attorney after Christmas!!

Thank you all for the warm welcome! PBT was suggested to me from a couple current members. I used to volunteer and foster for SPBR. People have mentioned that I would have a good time here! I know my fault for not posting pics! I should have known better. You can all call me Ketch. Seems like most do anyways. Being the FNG I will change my name.

Dexter was at Freeport Animal Shelter in NY. They did a great job with him from when they found him. Needless to say, he was in rough shape. I adopted him about 4 months after they took him in as a pup with his ears still bleeding, skinny and scared to death. The volunteers were unable to get a collar on him at first due to his fear. He has come a long way since. I adopted him about a year and a half ago. Dexter has had a lot of socialization with dogs and people and now does great with everyone. Really great with kids as well. SO without further ado......DEXTER!

Aww thank you everyone! Dex is certainly a character! I have had dogs my whole life and he just blows me away everyday. Not taking anything away from the dogs I have had in the past but Dexter really is something else. I have always loved working with Pit Bulls in the past and knew this was the breed for me. My mother who has a DA Chihuahua mix was very much against a Pit Bull. I do not live with her but I watch her dog during the night and she watches mine during the day due to different schedules. Since Dexter came into our lives she has been a huge Pit Bull advocate. It is great to see peoples opinions change with experience as opposed to seeing things in the media. Thanks again everyone!
