Is she a gulper?

I'm glad she's doing better. :hug3:

Again, sorry everyone I couldn't get back to update when I knew the update. My parents came in and it got wild there for a while. I apologize for not getting back sooner to do the update before Joyce could.

I am just so thankful that Darlene is better and Joyce is safe and off the roads. :hug3:

No more scares tonight please..

My Vet called me when I was at Emergency Vet and talked me through everything. I love him.

They wanted her to stay overnight to monitor her, but that wasn't happening. I will monitor her and take tomorrow off to bring her in to my regular Vet.

THANK YOU EVERYONE! I was scared.

You had us scared too! It must be so nice to have such a wonderful vet, and I'm glad your both home. Good thoughts for continued snoring, and progress. :hug3:

I would have said go in too. Good job Joyce! Way to keep your cool.

I always think, better to get the ER exam and just know, you know?

I'm so happy Darlene is ok (sh!te that this all happened while I was working), please give her a hug for me.
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day, tomorrow doesn't look good either.

Yes, Michelle, and it was a $300. backed up fart. 8)

She is back to normal!! :bananaDance: I only fed her half a cup this morning, not a full cup. I am taking her in to my regular Vet just so he can see her.

I am fortunate that the Emergency Vet office is 4 miles away. The woman at the front desk had to be the calmest, nicest professional I have ever met. I told her so, and she was taken back that anyone in her position would NOT be. That is how genuine she was. She will be getting a nice gift today.

Thank you all again for your support. Of course, Missy kept me going at the Vet's office with her texts. :hug3:

This is the first thread I went to this morning. I don't have internet at home right now so was on those pins and needles too!

I'm so happy to read that Darlene is o.k.! I hope you get more good news at your vet today.

Alright we are not having any more shenanigans like this when I am unable to get online to see what is going on! That goes for everybody! >(

I am very relieved to see that Darlene is okay - like the others I was flying to the end of the post to make sure all was well.

Again, all of your support helped me to hold it together. :hug3:

Just got back from my Vet. He already spoke with ER Vet. :)

I showed him the xray. He is thinking she has a stomach emptying problem because there was SO much food in her stomach. So she is on Reglan for a few weeks. He also wants all the dogs to be fed four smaller meals a day. I usually vary from 2 to 3 a day, depending if I am on vacation. But I can do four.

He also wants to think about putting her on canned food instead of dry. She is now 7 and maybe the dry is just absorbing too much and not passing out of the stomach at the normal rate.

She is doing fine, but a little clingy, which is okay with me. :heartbeat:
