So, while making collars one day, I was also thinking of what to get various people for Christmas this year. My niece popped into my head because she all wants to be a tattoo artist one day, but she admitted to not having a lick of drawing ability, and she was kind of bummed about it. So, I told her she could come over and have a-go at helping us make some collars. She was excited.
So, I'm thinking "What can I get her for Christmas???"
Then it occurs to me. A LEATHER BRACELET. DUH. What 18 year old teenage punk wouldn't want one of these?? :ROFL2:
Then it dawns on me: More people may want these! And I've got different colored latigo leathers (thank you, Lisa!) and now we can also line in a nice, thick-ish, soft, suede, too! And we'll have different colored suedes soon (thank you again, Lisa!).
Anyway, so I order some snaps, and BAM! we made this for my niece last night. It's 1 1/2" wide, but we can make them, probably, down to a 3/4" width. This is entirely too wide for my small wrist, but my husband modeled it well.:ROFL2:
Only because it was too big for me. I hope my niece likes it! We went a little wild on the blingy side, but I think it still rocks.
And!!! To think, matching dog collars or vice versa, match a bracelet up to a dog collar.
WOO HOO!
Whatchu think? We do various spot/concho patterns. There wouldn't be as much room to work with on them as there is on a dog collar, but still!
My hub modeling it.

And here it is by itself:

Now, this was the first bracelet we have ever made, so there are minor imperfections I am noticing looking at it, but I am quite pleased with it.

I am in love with it! What would a bracelet like that run?

I think I'm going to price them according to decorations, patterns, with or without suede lining.

Due to the patterning on that one I posted, I'd probably charge $20-$25 because of the labor of the pattern.
And the leather is top quality latigo that is as soft as velvet. Seriously, if I was a piece of leather (you know, as opposed to being a human...or something) I'd have a love affair with our black latigo leather.
hahahahaha.
It's just THAT nice. I don't know WHAT they do to this leather, but it's the nicest freaking leather I've EVER worked with. It's a dream to work with. LOVE IT.

And thanks for the compliments! :D

$10 per cuff as a base price.
additional $4 for any concho added.
Additional $10 for any spot pattern added.
Additional $3 for suede lining.

That bracelet there would be priced at $20.
But it would last a lifetime.
That is TOP quality latigo leather.

I just suggested to John that he get one for his daughter...she's 18 and hard to shop for. :)

He's trying to figure out what she'd like...so if you get a rambling email from him...lol

Very nice... eventually you could make matching collars and bracelets, when someone orders for their dog.
A little doggy collar for the wrist, so to speak. :D

What color leather do you have? Pink??? And are the other ones as soft as the black?

Check her website, it's got the leather colors...yeah, she's got pink. John considered it for his daughter, but went with black with pink conchos. 8)

But you can get the pink lined in suede. :D

some more customer bracelets. I have more orders to finish today, and I have to make my son's, and if I have time I'll be making some to eventually get up on my etsy site as well.
These are all for the same customer:
Image

And I LOVE this one, too. It's made with our burgundy leather, ranger star, and two dome spots on each side.
It's lined in black suede. it's 2" wide.
Sorry, I took these this morning, so my pics are all lopsided.

This was another customer one we made the night before last. It's 2" wide and lined in black suede:

And another. This one is so cute and cool. Love it! In my opinion, the pink starburst is just enough to add a nice decoration without being over-powering. :D
