Meat Grinders

Postby Suzi » December 3rd, 2009, 10:59 am

To all who "grind" their own....

I have been using a hand crank grinder and my arm is about to fall off lol .

Does anyone use an electric one? If so what brand/kind?

Also,,,what is the going price for turkey necks? The one place I saw them,,,they were $2.50 a lb.....I found that to be a bit expensive.....

Where are you located? Most areas have raw food groups and prices are much better than that.

You are in a populated enough area that you should be able to find a group to hook up with. People who are out of the way usually have to travel a bit.

We have one from Northern Tool. It's cheap and works. Not the heaviest duty of grinders, but it worked for our purposes. I don't use it much anymore since I buy premade for Sidda, but I would still recommend it for a decent priced machine.
