The Cancer Calendar

Here is where we can discuss canine cancers and treatment options to create a support system for those dealing with the disease.

Postby LMM » November 26th, 2009, 3:54 pm

Hey guys, I wanted to reach out to all of you to find out who sent photos in for the calendar. I really would love a chance to see all our pups! A bunch of us are dealing with this and I think it's a wonderful way to showcase our little community. I mean this calendar is strictly for our cancer babies and whether they are fighting the good fight or are no longer with us, I'd really love to see them all in the calendar :)

So who is in??

I sent my heart-dog, Louie. He was my first Black Labrador. He was called The Mayor at the Assisted Living Facility where he did therapy. Even when the cancer took one of his digits, he proudly strutted down those hallways.

My other photo is of Carlos Garcia. He was my protector. NO ONE came near me when he was by my side. He was Lab/Chow.

I miss them both.... :( Thank you for asking about them.

My Canine Cancer Calendar came today! It's so nice. The quality is really impressive and the photos and stories are presented in a very personal way. My Brownie is Mr. September. :heartbeat:

I love it. Great job!

I stopped by the vet's office yesterday to give Dr F a Cancer Calendar. He was touched. It really is a beautiful tribute to our fighters.

The original calendar had some pics where the dogs had "white eyes" and they were corrected. It was Joyce's dogs, Sofie, Brownie'smom's dog (I'm spacey & can' think of the name, sorry.) Mick, etc. :)

I received my calendar a couple of weeks ago and it is just beautiful. It had me in a full blown crying fest. I feel so honored to be a part of something so much bigger than me and my little world. Thank you again, Michelle.

You have 30 days from your original order date to ask for a free replacement, if your dog was one of the ones w/the "funky" eyes.

I just got a call from my sister, and I couldn't even hear her because she was crying so hard. I sent her a Canine Calendar for Christmas. First, she wanted me to tell her every dog's story. So I did, month by month. :) We even reminisced about my Louie and Carlos Garcia.

She couldn't get over what a wonderful bunch of people I hang out with on a dog forum. And when I told her Michelle and Admin/Mods were donating half the money to dog cancer research, she cried even more for the kind act.

Two more weeks and I get to hang mine up. :)
