Amazing working pitbull in Indiana

Please tell us about yourself! You will not be able to post on the rest of the board until you have posted here

Postby Batmanmom » November 24th, 2009, 10:47 pm

I am a part-time employee at an animal shelter in Indiana. I have been working with a truly amazing pitbull. He is perfect for someone looking for an agility prospect, Schutzhund dog, rally or competitive obedience. Prince Charming is 2 years old and was recently neutered so his growth plates should have been closed (great for a working dog). Prince has tremendous play drive, a natural retrieve, loves to learn and will play forever. I'm in a Schutzhund club and this dog is truly amazing in terms of his working ability. But, he is not right for the average pet owner. He needs an experienced handler.

Please help me find this guy a home.

Here are links to video of him on agility equipment and working with one of the helpers from our Schuthzund club. In less than 10 minutes Prince was going over a teeter and through a closed tunnel. Anyone interested, please email batmanmom@gmail.com. I apologize for not posting this in the rescue forum, but couldn't post a new topic there.

That's because we make you post an introduction about yourself and your experience with the breed before you can post in the rest of the forum.

Once you do that, we'll approve you to post and then you can post about Prince Charming in the Rescue, Sport, and Training areas. You'll generate more interest there than in the Intros because more people read those sections.

I have a German Shepherd, Condor, 1 year old, that I work in Schutzhund and I have a GSD mix (probably mixed with something like a Spitz as he has a curly tail) that I work in Agility and competitive obedience. He also has his BH in Schutzhund.

I work part time as a behaviorist at a humane society, temperament testing dogs and doing enrichment with dogs that don't initially pass the TT, but which we feel are good candidates for passing with a little work. I also foster dogs, and a lot of my fosters are pitbulls.

Our shelter does adopt out pitbulls and we are very proud of that fact. Sadly, we get a lot of them passing through the shelter system.

OK, I figured out how to do an avatar, but now how to post other photos. I'm assuming I have to have them online somewhere rather than just being able to upload them from my desktop. Do I just put the url of the image file between the Image markers that come up?
