Mr. Bojangles the Beagle :)

If it's a non-human, non-Pit Bull, family member, post it here!

This is my first post here on the site, so why not do one to show off my baby Mr. Bojangles the Beagle :)

(I'll do some other threads here soon of my other two dogs)

A little bit about Beau, he's 7 years old and comes from champion hunting lines....he's a rescue but came with his papers. I adopted him him from a vet tech who saved him from a hunter who had a his mother and his littermates. The hunter used brutal methods to train his dogs to hunt such as beating them with a flashlight and kicking them in the ribs. So Beau had a rough start in life. I adopted him when he was 6 months old, he came with a large set of issues as well...he came to me scared, terrifed of men, VERY food aggressive and very fearful of everything. It was a lot of work for me as I was only 14 at the time to work with him to get over his issuses. But he did and he's now a stable dog that loves everything and everyone. I used to do some rabbit hunting with him and I soon retired him from it. He's currently learning the art of weight pulling and is getting to be an old man in great shape. I've had him since I was 14 and I am now almost 21 and he will 7 this coming November. I love my beagle boy and now to show him off.

And yes I agree, he's VERY much in shape....though right now he's putting on his winter fat, but come spring he'll be nice and ripped again :D
