Hi everyone, my name is Ashley!
About 2 years ago I found my soul mate in a 2 year old Pit Bull looking so sad and scared in the Baltimore City pound. Ever since then, we've been inseperable. Her name is Sadie and is the best dog that I've ever met. She currently has her CGC and working on her TDI for therapy work. She was also my first search dog (I am a Search and Rescue K9 handler), and was a good little tracking/trailing dog until we got into the very big complex problems. Sadie has since been retired, and only used as a training dog for new handlers and PR events sometimes, and I have another search dog (7 month old Border Collie named Jett, who I adore, ) but Sadie is still the love of my life. She used to go to work with me on a regular basis (I have since stoped working and in the middle of a career change). If it wasn't for my husband, she'd sleep right next to me every night (she's a HUGE bed hog! And sleeps with me when he's not there, ).
I was looking for a local shutzhund club (just to go be a helper and work the sleeve some, and try to learn more about bite dogs), and stumbled across a post from a member here that was going to a trial that was local to me.

In the last picture, if you notice her tail, about 6 months there was an accident and she had to have her tail amputated. I was crushed that she lost her weapon tail, but she doesn't miss it, and now we tease her with her super wagging nub .
