Hogan's parents say thank you so much for the support.
It just sucks all around. I wouldn't wish cancer on any dog, but you always wonder why the nasty dog's that try to rip your face off live forever, and the amazing dogs seem to get something really bad and wrong that cuts their life short. Like his parents said, at least he made it to 'old man' at 8. He was such an awesome dog, totally not what you expect in an Aussie Shepherd, not that they aren't good dogs, they are, but they can be really aloof and kind of one person dogs. He was the opposite, he could make anyone smile and he shared his love with everyone he met.
You are such a kind person. I hope everyone who has a sick dog can have someone like you in their corner.
Thank you, some days I'm kinder than other haha . I love working in the veterinary field because I love being able to help heal an animal. However, it really sucks when you keep working at it, and keep hoping things will improve and they don't. I guess there has to be a downside to an upside.
I think Hogan's story is really important just to remind us all not to give up, and that the best things in life are good snacks and good people
