A funny thing.....

Postby ellie@ny » April 29th, 2006, 8:51 pm

I was outside with the dogs today having a long walk in this beautiful weather...I don't know how many times I had to tell to people to get their dogs, because they were on loose, but the funny part was, when a guy was comming with his boxer, and said something nice to my dogs, then he asked : Is that a Shar-Pei????Pointing to my lil girl!!!!!!!!!I was spechless! Then I start laugh...
Does she look like a Shar-Pei? :x :

Yet more evidence as to why so many dogs involved in bites are ID'd as pit bulls.

Most people don't know a Shar Pei from a pit bull from a Pug, and that's the truth! :|

LOL I say go for it! LOL :D

I was walking Samurai a couple of weeks ago and a guy stopped me and said Nice Boston Terrier :| I just cracked up. What was worse was when I started talking to him more he actually had a Boston Terrier DUH :rolleyes2:
People have no clue about dog breeds. Samurai has also been called a lab and a weimaraner

Apache has been called a boxer and a great dane

Patcheeno is usually referred to as one of those Petey dogs

I've been asked if Os is a boxer at least 5 times. That and I get asked "what kind of dog is that?" when we reply we get "whats he mixed with ?" Umm, no, maybe 2 or 3 generations back some Am Bull, but it sure doesn't show much.

IT IS exactly why Pits are so often misidentified, though the scared people never seem to have any promblem picking him out :? :| And then crossing the street...

What a pretty girl, Ellie! I can't say she looks like a Shar Pei, though...

My brindle girl was called an Australian shepherd a few months ago. It was hard to keep a straight face on that one!
