PLEASE VOTE FOR ROXY NOW! AND CROSSPOST!

This is where to talk about Pit Bulls!

Postby Pitgrrrl » September 8th, 2009, 3:20 pm

Please go to the link below and vote for ROXY today. Roxy is a bull terrier/pit mix that a local rescue wanted to pull from Fulton County Animal Services but just didn’t have the space. They put her on hold trying to save her life until they could take her. In the meantime she was selected as a possible dog to play Sandy in an upcoming production of Annie. WOW!!!! It would be great for the bullies to get this exposure. Please go and VOTE NOW. If you are a FaceBook User you will see the icon to post to your FB page. Please do it and ask people to vote for her.

http://www.cbsatlanta.com/bettermornings/index.html

Once you click onto the above link, you will see the place to vote for ROXY on the Top Right hand side of the screen. Just wait for a few extra seconds for the voting info to pop up, thats all. Vote more times too. You just have to go back to the INBOX, then wait for about 30 seconds or so, and open the e-mail agin, click onto vote Roxy and she will get another vote.

See below for an update on Roxy!

As most of you know I sent out a plea a couple of weeks ago to vote for Roxy (bull terrier/pit bull mix) to be the star in an upcoming Atlanta production of Annie. I have to say that I was OVERWHELMED by the response. I had no idea that there were so many bully enthusiasts out there. YAY! Since then many of you have inquired as to whether or not she actually won because CBS stopped showing the voting results before the voting ended. Still not sure why CBS stopped showing the results or even what the final results were. I have tried to contact CBS about this and have yet to get a response. I did however find out from FCAS that Macy was the winner of the contest instead of Roxy.

Don’t be too sad because even though she didn’t win, the publicity she received got her a NEW forever home. Roxy went to her new home yesterday. Not only that, but when her new family came to pick her up, Roxy befriended a kitten in the adoption room and her new family adopted the kitten too! Now that is a happy ending.
