Hi! My name is Jen, I live in CT with my husband and our two furkids. Sophie is a 6yr old English Pointer/Pit mix and Guinness is a 7yr old APBT. We adopted Sophie 3 years ago last April and Guinness is having a 3 year gotcha day next week.

Welcome to the forum, Jen! Please tell us more about yourself and your dogs -- what do you like about pit bulls, where did you get them, etc.

Sophie and Guinness were both "pound dogs" when we adopted them. Sophie was found wandering in the next town over with a collar and was never claimed. Guinness found tied outside at a vet's office, emaciated and weighing in a 35lbs.

We love everything about the breed and will most likely always have pit bulls from now on. They are the most people oriented breed that I've met. Both dogs are always with us and sleep with us at night. They are incredibly intelligent as a breed and eager to learn!

Since adopting we've done a great deal of research on the breed. Both dogs have been to obedience school and we have fed raw for the past 2 years.
