Well, often the 'measuring part ISN'T as important as some think. But usually that knowledge/skill comes AFTER one has Learned TO COOK. !!
And it doesn't seem INGREDIENTS is your problem, (from what I can see of the pictures)..........not turning up the fire, walking away to pick up your knitting, or watching Porn, seems to be the problem.

I have that problem too. That's why I use timers. You need one that beeps incessantly until you get up to turn it off though.
