Anne Holte of Pit Bull Project, Seattle

Postby Violet » July 23rd, 2009, 10:13 pm

What a sad and great loss :(

Anne Holte founded the group Pit Bull Project and many of us have worked with her organization. Anne passed away on July 21st. Her daughter found her curled up next to her Blue Pit, Merlin. Her dedication to the breed is very clear even at the end of her life.

A memorial will be held for Anne this Saturday at 2:00PM at Columbia Funeral Home, located at the corner of Alaska and Rainer. Their contact info is:

Columbia Funeral Home

4567 Rainier AVE S
Seattle, Washington 98118
Phone: 206-722-1100
A balance of $3,300 remains at Rainier Vet under her name. If donations can be made in her memory to pay off the debt it would be very helpful. Please send payments to:

Rainier Veterinary Hospital
815 Rainier Avenue South
Seattle, Washington 98144-2837

Those of us in rescue feel the weight when one of our own is lost. But we are forever grateful for her efforts and for the many Pit Bulls rescued because of her dedication.

Our sincere thoughts and prayers go out to Anne's family during this difficult time.

not so far as I know. I told Kirstan I can probably take the male if he is not over the top prey driven wanting to eat my cats. I cannot bring females into my house.
