Lenny didn't bite the Vet!

If it's a non-human, non-Pit Bull, family member, post it here!

Postby iluvk9 » June 23rd, 2009, 6:25 am

Quick summary: I adopted him at 9 yrs old. He lived in a crate 24/7 and was VERY snarky. (Can't imagine why...)

When I brought him to his FIRST Vet visit (basically since he was a pup) he was like a wild man. He tried to bite Vet, Vet tech and me. Vet said he has one more chance and then we PTS.

So.......

after a year, I can cut his nails, clean his ears, groom him every day, clean his teeth and integrated him into my dog family.

We went for our Vet visit and he was PERFECT!!!

He was nervous going in, but I brought cheese. We did muzzle him for the vaccinations, but he was a perfect gentleman throughout the examination.

I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!

My Vet said to never put my face near his, but ya know....who listens to everything they are told?

Joyce, He came into your life for a special reason and you into his. He just needed someone to show him some love and let him know that life is good.

Btw, You know how much I love that picture. :heartbeat:

Good Boy, Lenny!

From the looks of that pic, I'd be really afraid to get my face that close to his also...he may lick you to death :|

Thank you, everyone! :) He also is great in the car. Just sits in the back seat and looks forward like he is an old man just going for a drive in the country. 8)

Vet was concerned because he was not giving any warning growls, lip thingy or body language. Just lunged at you and "snap-snap-snap". Vet knows I am an "in your face" kind of dog owner and was worried I was going to get my face taken off.

I was telling someone at work his story and I am usually a very confident speaker. Well, when I got to the part on how he finally learned how to roll around on the lawn and runs with his legs stretched out like a show dog, I starting crying. I just can't believe how he has impacted my life.
