My farming skills.

Last year we grew our own tomatoes, this year we thought we would expand.

these are the tomatoe plants right behind the house. They are already as tall as Travis and have so many tomatoes on them. I can't wait until they ripen up to pick. Also threw a cucumber plant in there to see what would happen.

This is our pepper garden: jalapeno, green bells, red bells, and cayene. I can't wait for my red bells to produce.

Look at all the jalapenos!!

Bell peppers, they are starting to grow bigger every day.

Then we take a stroll down to the North 40. (it is on the north side of our property and has 40 acres, hence the name). Silver Queen sweet corn.

The row that Kinzyl is standing on has more cucumbers and watermelon. Only hoe around roots but let the runners go in the grass to hide from deer.

Cucumbers!!! no fruit on watermelon vines yet but plenty of blooms :dance:

Ewwww it all looks super yummy! To think, I was all excited because I managed to grow tomatoes, and strawberries. lol

Thanks Jenn, I wanted to try strawberries. Travis said until we put a pea patch at the other end of the field the berries would never survive the deer. Next year there will be peas for the deer to eat so they leave my stuff alone.

I can't get over how big your plants are already. :rolleyes2:

As Missy knows, I planted two tomatoes, one cucumber and one pepper.

They are in big flower pots. I will take photos tomorrow to show off MY planting skills. :neener:

Missy, I keep using the Miracle Grow like you suggested and ALL my plants are growing tall! It may also be that we have had rain for like 5,988 days in a row.

oddly, we've only ever been able to grow Strawberries, and they survived our below -20 winter (cold for here!) and have turned into little perrenials. However everything is in pots, as we have no land for a garden.

Anyway, I HAVE been singing to them, talking to them and sometimes maybe yelling at them. :dance:

I have two little yellow flowers and THREE marbles sized green tomatoes.

And don't worry everyone....I planted them so I can just wash them and eat them. No cooking skills involved! :neener:

Missy, I think I planted a "pickling cucumber". Do you think I can still just eat it like the regular kind?

Woman, you know I am always up until 2 or 3 am. :rolleyes2:

What did it say on the package. I have never heard of a "pickling cucumber" from the package. You don't choose to do that until after they are been picked. I could be wrong. I am still learning myself.

Joyce, I asked Travis. If you got that kind they just won't grow as big. They grow as big pickle. But you can still eat them.

What a beutiful garden, I am jealous of all the space you have!
All I have are 2 tomato plants, one in one of those topsy turvey things
and 1 in a bucket on my deck. (I don't even like tomatoes) LOL
