Will Trouble need any time with you & Shanna first because she's been boarded?

I don't know the dogs, so I can't judge.

If that is what will work best for you, Shana, Trouble and Duke then that is exactly what you should do!

Hopefully there was no vet visit needed...

It wasn't really so bad. We had Duke on leash and Trouble without since it is HER house. Duke was a little hyper which Trouble doesn't tolerate real well, but all in all it could have been a lot worse. They did OK until Duke would get under her throat or try to put a paw on her. Then she would growl, not a really threatening growl, just the I'm the boss get out of my face growl.

He licked her eyes, ears, and nose and she tolerated that quite well. We've got him kenneled now. I'm going let him out while I cook and will leave Trouble closed in the bedroom to sleep. I think in time with short controlled visits they will be fine.

We gave them a little more 'together' time. Same way, Trouble free, Duke on leash. Trouble was on the bed, Duke came in and got on bed. He still wants to play and paw, she still wants him to leave her alone. Once he calmed down she would sniff. We separated them again. Duke in kitchen and hallway, Trouble in the bedroom. I'm going to bed, stuffed a Kong for Duke and kenneled him for the night. The queen, of course is in our bed.

Taking baby steps sucks, but what else can you do? :|

I think you are doing just fine. But if it were ME I wouldnt let him on the bed just yet. He hasnt earned that privilege were she has. She might take that as him over stepping her bounds. Then again maybe not. Dogs are strange.

I agree, I'd keep him off the bed for a while.

Shanna and Bob, It took a WHILE for Sammy and Kinzyl to work out the bed issue. Kinzyl had to earn her way up there according to Sammy. lol That was his bed and his mommy for 4 years. He had to get used to sharing.
I am looking forward to the PICTURES!!!! :anyMinute: And a good update to :D
