My name is Jane and I'm usually JaneGael, but for some reason it wouldn't let me log in so I changed my name. I have Gloria my pit girl who was beaten nearly to death when she was only 4 months old. I guess if you beat a fighting dog it makes them meaner, or provides you with a bait dog... Gloria was saved by Stacy Alldredge of Who's Walking Who out of NYC and is all better now except for her severe brain damage.

I also have Hannah a pit/Plott hound/Lab who was so abused as a tiny puppy she is still having flash backs. Dogs can have PTSD too. And 7 other dogs of various breeds that are all rescues and all special needs.

I love my pitties and tell people the truth about them whenever possible. The word IS getting out. I talked with a woman at the grocery yesterday and before I could go into my spiel she told me that pits get a "bad rap." Yeah!!!

I feed Blue Buffalo both regular and diet, I throw in some raw chicken on a regular basis. I don't train as much as I should because I enjoy watching them interact normally without worrying about not doing it right. But they do listen...most of the time. :mrgreen:
