Well, finally the plan is falling into place. We will be leaving sometime between now and Monday. I could not get Trouble booked in the kennel until Monday, but if they have a cancellation for the weekend they will call and I'll take her in. I'm really hoping that happens, it would give us a little more leisurely trip. Otherwise we are going to be pretty much driving for four days.

Please keep us in your thoughts as we all make the transition to a multi-pit family, especially Trouble! We so need for her to accept and thrive in our new environment.

Congratulations!!! Safe travels. Hope the introduction goes well so we can get some good pictures of the two of them snuggling together.

I really do hope your dogs get on!
I know I have issues with cujo and other male adult dogs, He turns to a very different dog!
Like he wants to kill/ eat the other dog. :|
But I'm sure when introduced properly they will be great pals! :kiss2:

We're counting on it  Thanks for your support, it means a lot since you knew Angie as well. Sandra is standing by cheering us on also, so I can't help but believe we've made the right decision.

I talked to Shanna last night and they were in TN, planning on driving all the way through to Ohio. They were planning on bunking down in Columbus so they could meet Duke this morning, then they're coming a little closer my way and we're going to do dinner tonight.

They had damn well better post some pics of Duke (or at the very least an update) after they meet him this morning!

Many thanks to Liz for keeping everyone informed. We met Duke this morning. He is even more gorgeous in person! He is VERY hyper and happy to have visitors. No pictures. Probably not until we get home. I know it just sucks, but you can wait.

Thanks for all the well wishes for the trip and the introductions. So far, so good. PBT comes through again.

WOOHOOO, I just talked to Shanna and she said Duke is BEAUTIFUL. They had a long trip but I know that it will be all worth it. They are going to take a nap then go meet Liz.
I told her that I just feel it in my heart that things are going to work out and Duke and Trouble will be very happy together.
She also said that they don't think he has any cancer. He had just lost a lot of weight probably from grief but now he looks great.
Now everyone send good thoughts for a safe travel home and a great introduction for Trouble and Duke.
