Hello everyone

Please tell us about yourself! You will not be able to post on the rest of the board until you have posted here

I found this board through a friend of mine who also recently joined, HugABull612 I believe is her SN on here.

I am a long-time pit bull lover, one-time foster and my husband and I hope to adopt one in the future when things are more settled in our household.

We are currently the proud family of a 10-year old beagle/toy fox terrier mix, a 6-year old chihuahua/boston terrier mix, two DSH cats and 30+ chinchillas (which we raise/rescue/show). I am also a long time volunteer at the SPCA in Cattaraugus County here in WNY where I have worked with soooo many pit bulls over the years. It was actually there that I first met one and fell in love.

I'm excited to have found another board where so many people share our love for this breed. I recognize some of your usernames from Pit Bull Forum (where my name is chinsNdobermans).

Hi and welcome! I'm also a non-pit bull owner, though I have a mix! 8) I don't have chins, though I love the looks of them...I have rabbits, g.pigs, rats and degus though. Ever run across any rescue degus in your chin rescue?

I had one person ask me if I rescue them but I never heard from them after so I don't know if they were looking to surrender or adopt.

Hello and Welcome. :wave2:
Wow do you have pictures of the chinchillas?
I've always wanted one :D but have been put of buy what I've been told that they are nocturnal and need a big area. And go quite mad at night.
Plus I don't like buying pets from pet shops it encourages unwanted breeding of puppies and kittens mainly but it's quite rare to find them over here.
I have a fascination over exotic pets my one comes from south America. She's a tiger Oscar. :D

lol Shady-angel, chinchillas are nocturnal and they are just very active at night, not quite mad! With enough toys and a cage to bounce around in (a ferret cage works great) they are quite happy. I have pictures and I do intend to share but I have to make my images smaller before they'll work.

Degus are related to chinchillas but they have less fur, they're smaller and their needs are different.
