I live in Arizona and can't wait to talk to others who love bully breeds as much as I do! I am also looking into starting other sports (just doing a little conformation now) and hoping to get some pointers. Not to mention, I would love to share some photos! (he he!) My husband and I have 4 American Staffordshire Terriers. (Not sure of all your views on the similiarities of Amstaffs and APBTs?) Oh well...either way, we ADORE all these breeds and all of our dogs. Afterall, what would we do without them?! Thank you for reading this and I am looking forward to getting to know you all :) -Monique

Welcome! What got you interested in the breed?

Hi there! I have always been a huge dog lover but, something about the bully type breeds always caught my attention...especially the APBTs and Amstaffs. They are, in my opinion, unmatched in versatility. It always amazed me how a breed can do therapy work and, just as easily, turn around and excell in schutzhund. Anything you ask of them, they will do with everything they have. It is, unfortunately, no wonder they were and are so frequently used for barbaric purposes. I got into American Staffordshire Terriers because here, in Arizona, there are very, very few quality APBT breeders that I could find. So, I looked far and wide and just so happened to buy a puppy from an Amstaff breeder. I wasn't so much picky about the breed (APBT or Amstaff) as much as just getting a quality pup. Well, needless to say, it was love at first sight and I now can't imagine my life without this wonderful breed :) How about you?
