Poor Princess

Food, Fitness and how to keep them healthy.

Postby mnp13 » April 6th, 2009, 11:39 am

So I had a zillion things to do this weekend so the dogs each got marrow bones so they could hang out in their crates and not fuss. No big deal, we've done that plenty of times.

Yeah... right... "no big deal"

Last night Ruby was all fussy and had a little soft poop but nothing major. We were up three times and then she seemed to be ok. Then she puked up some foam, again, nothing major... then she got up, went into the bathroom and up came giant chunks. Fan-freekin-tastic.

So I gave up and went downstairs to sleep on the couch so we were closer to the door. Three more pukes later and she slept through the rest of the night.

This morning she had firm poop, but it was bloody. Fan-freekin-tastic.

So I'm home for the day so that I can take her out regularly, I don't want to leave her home and have her get sick in the crate and have to sit in there with it. yuk.

So send Ruby some sympathy. She's gonna be fine, but is playing it up as much as possible right now!

It's a well-known fact that when dogs are sick they heal faster when pics are posted of them. Just saying... :|

Ruby, Inara sends TONS AND TONS OF LOVE YOUR WAY!!! She can't wait to see you and play with you again this summer. Maybe she'll even cuddle on your chair with you! :giggle:

At least she was smart enough to puke in the bathroom. Earl usually pukes on my clothes

Hope she feels better

Tell Mia she's not allowed to come over any more if she's going to chew on my dog's marrow bones. >( that kid has a lot of nerve.

I hope she feels better soon!

She was pretty low key all day yesterday, her gums were pretty pale and she wasn't moving right. Her poop was ok.

She's acting normal now though :|

The Princess has acknowledged your concern and has nodded her thanks in your general direction.
