But I wanted to share anyway...

I have a Green Spotted Puffer, 'Skittles', he lives alone in a 45 gallon tank, he likes it that way

I am also considering getting some Poison Dart Frogs
that look like this....

or like this...

All of the Frogs are kept in species only set ups as some have poisonous secretions and most frogs will eat whatever they can fit in their mouths!!

There are some examples of the rest of my crew :D

where do you get poison dart frongs from? I'd imagine they'd be a bit interresting to keep....you can't hold them or anything because of their secretions, can you?

The blue ones are beautiful! Those and the fire red ones, and sometimes the yellow bellied ones are my favorite darts. :D

The dart frogs are usually available thru a private dealer.

Its definately safest not to hold them.

Few people are aware but, its actually not a great idea to hold any frog. Their skin (wich they drink through, they don't use their mouths) is almost as sensitive as the tissue inside our lungs. Handling them causes stress (they are prey animals) and can put oils from our skin and anything else we have on our hands onto them, wich is not good, and handling can also cause small microscopic rips in their skin. If you have to handle a frog, your best option is to wash with non-scented soap and rinse really well and then leave your hands wet. The only time I handle any of my frogs is to poke the end of their nose gently to get them to walk into a small holding container for cleaning :D

Anywho, now that I'm finished my informative paragraph :lol3: I just thought you might be interested to know that...
